Vicki has many years of experience in private consulting, presenting seminars and workshops,
working in multidisciplinary teams and management settings. She is a Board Approved Supervisor and provides supervision to fellow psychologists, as well as provisional psychologists and clinical masters students.
She has a special interest in working with patients with chronic pain and has many years of
experience in this area. She enjoys collaborating with patients from many diverse cultures and
backgrounds.
In addition to the neurophysiology of pain she is interested in applying findings from neurobiology to provide best practice treatment for adults for a broad range of problems including anxiety, panic, sleep problems, pain and trauma as well as interpersonal and workplace issues.
Vicki is trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR and Schema Therapy as well as mindfulness and hypnosis. However, more importantly, the main focus is on developing a collaborative alliance with the client to foster resilience, build on strengths, improve problem-solving and emotional regulation and other key life skills.
